After working as a Charleston wedding photographer for years, it has been so interesting to see the ways in which my industry continues to change and develop. I have learned a great deal throughout my many seasons photographing Charleston weddings, and I always try to impart this knowledge on my clients and educate them along the way! After all, the best wedding photographs come from a wedding that has been set up for success in the photography department.
As I get to know my new clients and discuss their Charleston wedding day plans with them, I am frequently asked a lot of the same questions regarding my work, how their wedding photos will be taken, the post-production process, etc. I typically go through the same sets of information with all of my potential and new clients so that everyone is on the same page. This helps ease anxieties and makes for a smooth process—and overall wonderful client experience!
But I am occasionally surprised by the questions that are thrown my way. And sometimes I wonder if my clients have more questions and do not quite know how to word them or are just too shy to ask! I know from personal experience and my years on the Charleston wedding photography circuit that planning a wedding is extremely overwhelming, even with the best help! Sometimes it is hard to know the “right” questions to ask, who to ask, or how to ask them.
