From Where I Stand | A Look Into Daily Life

Aside from being a photographer, I’m a wife, sister, daughter and friend. There are so many hats that we all tend to juggle as women and I thought it would be fun to give you a little sneak peak into my life and all my other hats. From where I stand.

I’m newly married and loving every moment. Life is full of adventure, challenges, laughter, trials, learning, and fun. Along with being newly married, i’m also new to juggling house keeping, cooking, loving my husband well, and running a business. All these things are a new adventure and learning curve for me and I’m enjoying all of it. There is something so satisfying about learning to cook something new, creating a new project for our home, or learning to garden (and not kill the plants).

Over the past few weeks i’ve documented my day to day life and adventures from the perspective of “From Where I Stand”. Its been one of my favorite behind the scenes views yet and I’m so excited to share it with you. Who knows… maybe i’ll continue this and post another in a few weeks. 🙂 Two things i’ve discovered about myself while doing this. I love to be barefoot and I love wearing toms. Apparently thats all I do. haha

Everyday always starts with a fresh cup of coffee. (I feel like the foldgers theme song should be playing right now) 🙂

A few weeks ago Daniel and I celebrated knowing each other for two years. So I tried my hand at making lobster and shrimp scampi. I was so proud it was delish!

Every Wednesday I get together with a few friends to discuss the bible, drink coffee, and laugh. It’s one of my favorite days of the week!

Living in a new town means that you have so many new places to explore! Adventure is one of Daniel and I’s “musts” in our marriage – so it happens quite frequently.

Nights with friends are one my favorite things to do. Being an extrovert, people give my energy and I love spending time with our favorite people. Humans are made for community, make time for it.

I’ve found this new love for gardening and growing things. Daniel and I now have a small herb garden and several flowers all over our home and I LOVE them.

My mother came into town for the weekend last week and we showed her all around Annapolis! I couldn’t have been more proud to show her my beautiful home.

While she was here – my mom helped me prepare ten freezer meals to have for long work days! So nice!

Again. . . Coffee everyday. . .

A few weeks ago, some friends took us to see this gorgeous waterfall! Weekend getaways are my favorite.

Crockpot meals are absolutely the best! Prepare them real quick in the morning and then you have a delicious meal ready at dinner with no work!

Again with the barefoot… All things nature amaze me!

This past weekend we celebrate my Dad and sister’s birthday in the mountains of North Carolina. Gorgeous weather!

Spring is so gorgeous. Everything is so green and lush. Almost as if everything is yelling “yay!! It’s not cold anymore”. Its the best time!
