Happy Thanksgiving from HannahLane Photography

I have officially completed my final wedding for the year, begun my maternity leave for baby boy, and busted out my snuggly, fall sweaters, (at least the ones that fit right now) so that can only mean one thing. It’s the holiday season!

Today I’m wishing you a warm, happy Thanksgiving from Hannah Lane Photography! Thanksgiving is such a special time of year because it gives us all an opportunity to slow down and focus on what’s most important and remember all of our blessings.

I work in a special field because as a wedding photographer, I’m able to witness the most important moments happening on a regular basis. The formation of new, sweet families through weddings is an incredible thing, and I am lucky enough to take part of these weddings so many weekends a year. But that being said, it can still be easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and its “to-do lists.”

So I am taking a minute today to reflect on the beauty of my job and express gratitude for it. I feel so lucky to have the chance to work with so many incredible couples and families each year. I love the friendships that we have formed and the way that they so freely welcome me into their lives and their love stories.

And having the chance to capture these stories in beautiful, romantic, and artistic ways is such a dream! I am so fortunate to enjoy every aspect of the job—from photographing details, to knocking out the family photos, to editing and delivering galleries. I love getting to know couples’ personalities and hearing their love stories. And I really love turning moments into photographs that instantly become family heirlooms.

I also thoroughly enjoy working with other artists and connecting with creative communities both locally and nationally. It is an amazing thing to feel inspired by my job on a daily basis.

I am so thankful for this job and am so thankful for you—my clients and supporters—for making this dream job my reality. I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving with your loved ones! Enjoy all of that turkey!
