Tripiano Family Portraits

I am a firm believer that families should be captured during every stage. And as an Annapolis wedding and family photographer, I’m able to witness the beautiful growth that families go through—from engagements to weddings to bellies and babies!

When the Tripiano family approached me about doing their family photography session in Annapolis, I was excited. But I became even more excited after hearing the location they chose because of the sweet meaning behind it!

Both the husband and the wife went to school at the Naval Academy, and the Naval Academy Chapel was also the venue for their Annapolis wedding. It’s clear that the location has a very deep meaning to them and holds a special place in their heart. So it seemed like the perfect choice for a backdrop for their family photos with their darling daughter!

They wanted to commemorate such a special place before they moved away from Maryland, and I am so happy that they asked me to be the one to photograph them!

I love the soft energy of this family portrait session. We were blessed with gorgeous, diffused light and nice weather, which always makes for a delightful session! The Tripianos looked gorgeous in their coordinating outfits, as well. I loved the summery pops of yellow in the mom’s sundress and dad’s shorts, and their daughter was adorable in her grey tutu. And can you believe those tiny white converse high-tops?! They definitely have style.

We enjoyed walking the campus together and sharing a few memories from their courtship and college days. It’s these tender reflections and sweet family moments that I feel so lucky to be able to witness! I loved having the chance to photograph by the water, on the steps, and in the courtyard. The whole portrait session typified Maryland and will be so lovely to look back on when they no longer live in Annapolis.
