Today on the blog is a beautiful annapolis engagement session and it’s one of my favorites. Well you may have noticed a slight break in blog posts and that’s because I’ve been over here adjusting to mom life. It’s definitely harder than I expected juggling wife roles, mom roles, and business owner roles. 🙂 Slowly but surely I think I’m getting the hang of it though.
Well since today is Valentine’s day I thought it would be the perfect time to show off one of my favorite Annapolis engagement sessions. With the peak of engagements happening through the holidays, I am in definite Annapolis engagement prep mode over here. There’s nothing I love more as an Annapolis wedding photographer than to get excited emails from newly engaged couples and to hear about all of their wedding plans!
Inevitably, part of the process that I work through with couples as they plan their Annapolis wedding is to set up a beautiful engagement session. Nearly every couple that I work with chooses to have an engagement session before their wedding day, which is the best way to get to know them and deliver a gorgeous set of formal images before their wedding day!
I was so excited to work with Pat and Allison last year to photograph their Annapolis engagement session. Since they booked me over a year in advance, we had a great deal of time to plan the session and choose locations that were meaningful to them and would show off the vibes they wanted for their photographs.
We chose some classic Annapolis locations as the backdrop for this summer engagement session, which was the perfect fit for Pat and Allison’s preppy and timeless style. We started off by showing off that famous Annapolis architecture. And you all know I cannot get enough of that brick and cobblestone!
We then transitioned to the waterfront, and the pair looked absolutely perfect with their windblown hair and sailboats in the background. There really is a relaxed elegance about Allison and Pat, and I love how these images capture it perfectly!
We were blessed with the most incredible, soft, summer light and beautiful weather, as well! And I cannot fail to mention the cutest addition to their shoot—Allison and Pat’s darling pup! This little one was so well behaved through the entire session and really got into the modeling. Can you believe how their dog looked right at the camera for some of the photos?
These two will be holding their Annapolis wedding at Allison’s family home this summer, and I cannot wait to work with them again!
