Governor Thomas Bennett House Wedding | Rachel + Tim

There’s nothing like a good, serendipitous love story, and weddings are so often the culmination of these stories. It’s such an honor to be able to learn about and tell these stories on a regular basis as a Charleston wedding photographer. I love hearing how my couples’ love started, both during our consultations and engagement sessions.

I have loved learning about Rachel and Tim’s love story and being a small part of it! I instantly knew we’d be friends after their gorgeous Charleston engagement session. They are the type of people who incorporate what’s special to them into all elements of their wedding planning, starting with their engagement session!

Rachel and Tim met while playing soccer (and the rest is history, so they say!). So the pair incorporated this into their engagement session by choosing a soccer field for one of the locations! They further paid tribute to this past by hosting a friends-and-family soccer game (orange slices included!) the afternoon before their Charleston wedding. Tim and Rachel also frequently talk about their sweet adopted pup and made sure to include him in their photos!

The couple met the following day for their stunning Governor Thomas Bennett House Wedding. The venue was the most quintessentially southern backdrop for a wedding. There’s nothing like that amazing porch and all of nature!

They planned the classiest summer affair, including beautiful details by Beth Leon Guerrerro of Wildflower Inc and the amazing food from B. Gourmet. Rachel looked absolutely gorgeous in her Lana Addison Bridal gown, and Tim was her handsome counterpart.

Their loving friends and family and a large bridal party surrounded them. And their bridesmaids and groomsmen really brought the party; there were twenty of them in total! After a lovely ceremony, sweet sentiments, dancing, joy, and libations filled the rest of the evening!
