Hiring a wedding photographer can be a little stressful and a big deal. These are the photos you’ll cherish for the rest of your lives… no pressure, right? 😉 Here are my top five ways to make hiring your Annapolis wedding photographer a stress free process:
Tip 1: Check out their style!
What you see on their website and throughout their different social media platforms is what our photos are going to look like, so make sure you like it! In fact, make sure you love it and don’t expect a different style of editing for your individual event. What you see is what you get. <3
Tip 2: Schedule a meet and greet!
Either via FaceTime or in person, getting to ‘meet’ someone can help you better understanding if your personalities are going to click on the day of your event. It also helps you get comfortable in front of the camera a little faster.
Tip 3: Get the package details!
Knowing what is included in the photography package that you purchase is absolutely vital. Watch for things like: how many photographers will be on site, how many hours will be covered, what products you’ll receive after the event, etc. Make sure there are no hidden fees.
Tip 4: Trust your photographer.
Seriously. I realize that this is a biased statement, but honestly… this is why you’re hiring a professional! Take advantage of the fact that your photographer likely attends more weddings than any typical person should, so the know how things flow and are experts on things like creating timelines, knowing when and where the lighting will the best, and what they do/don’t need to include in your images.
Tip 5: Book an engagement session!
This simple step means far more than photos celebrating your engagement. An engagement session allows you to get to know your wedding photographer before your wedding day. You will get to experience handle themselves behind the camera and most importantly, how you’ll work together when it comes to capturing amazing images on your wedding day.

I like that you mention knowing what is included in the photography package before you decide who to hire. Every photographer is different, so they will offer different services. it’s important to know beforehand what they offer so that you can compare different photographers to find the right one for you.
