I thought we’d get a little personal on the blog today and talk about my life right now. Winter weather! 🙂 Fun right?!
As most of you know I was born and raised in the beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Where the coldest it ever gets is 30′ and thats REALLY REALLY cold for Charleston. Everything closes when it’s 30′ out. Schools close, people stock up on food, bridges close and cause hours of delays. It really is a mess. What can I say? We’re just not cut out for cold weather. 🙂
Well this year of my life has been quite interesting and honestly.. humorous. Growing up in a place that doesn’t experience cold weather, and then moving to a place (Annapolis, MD) that has experienced quite a bit this year, can be quite entertaining and jaw dropping for me. Most days when I walk outside, i’m either talking to myself, laughing to myself, or just standing there looking around at the weather.
Facebook is always being updated on the crazy weather i’m experiencing, and friends and family get random texts with photos of completely frozen water bottles that I leave in my car, and snow covered sailboats in the harbor. There has also been many exciting adventures with friends and family who come to visit. (all Charleston friends, might I add) So of course they are just as enamored by the snow as I am.
Being a teachers wife definitely has its perks! Oh the roads have ice on them? – two hour delay. Oh! its snowing outside? – Lets cancel school. It really is very fun!
Here are some fun photos that I’ve taken over the winter of life in Annapolis. Even as of yesterday we got 7 inches of snow outside! So of course we went and played in the snow and made snow cream!! It was my first experience with snow cream and I think its offically the best part of winter!! Enjoy our winter wonderland!
