Today I’d love to share with you a few of my favorite images from Amelia Rose’s newborn session that took place at her home in Easton, Maryland. How sweet is this beautiful family?!
I love my newborn lifestyle/family sessions. They allow families to relax in the comfort of their own home while we capture amazing memories of this special moment in time. Here are four things you need to know about scheduling your next Annapolis family photography session with me:
1. Your home does not need to be perfect.
Lifestyle family sessions are meant to represent your life. It’s as simple as that. Whether you want to build towers out of blocks with your kiddos in a crowded playroom or if you have a kitchen that is completely Pinterest worthy – the photos are meant to respresent this moment exactly as it is.
With that in mind, if there’s something about your home that you don’t necessarily love… let me know! Maybe you’ve hated your kitchen countertops since the day you moved in or your floors just aren’t your fave to look, no big deal. I can work with angles and suggest simple pose adjustments that will help bock out any unwanted items from showing up in your images.
2. Let me worry about the lighting!
Yes, lighting is a big deal and it matters, a lot. BUT don’t let your idea of poor lighting hold you back from schedule a session at your home. We will make sure that our session is scheduled at a time for optimal interior lighting, pull back any shades or curtains as needed, and at worst case – head outside for a little fun. <3
3. We can still do posed shots.
While I want to capture those moments of your family interacting as naturally as possible, I know how important it is to have a variety of images that include basic posing that can be as simple as hanging out on the sofa together. If you have a specific shot list that you want to make sure we cover, please let me know ahead of time so that I can plan accordingly.
4. Don’t wait, schedule now!
The joy of home ownership is that there will *always* be another project that you just *need* to get done. Don’t wait until everything is just perfect, especially if you have little ones.
