Today I have the pleasure of sharing with y’all a throwback Thursday maternity session I did for my lovely friends Chelsea and Heath. This one is extra special because TODAY is their sweet baby boy’s SIX MONTH BIRTHDAY! (How has time flown so fast?!?) had a perfectly overcast day to shoot at Terrapin Beach Park along the Chesapeake Bay; a little-known Maryland gem slightly off the beaten path from popular tourist hangouts.
We took our time and made our way along Terrapin Park’s well-worn footpath trails surrounded by bright greens and tall grasses to its stretch of quiet sandy beach; where Chelsea and Heath had no qualms about venturing into the surf together for some sweet moments. Chelsea was radiant and glowing, and I absolutely loved the way her sheer lace dress looked against the water (sorry Heath…you were totally handsome but Chelsea and her baby-bump perfection totally stole the show!)
Observing Chelsea and Heath together reminds me of when my husband and I could not wait to meet our own little mister, and now when I do maternity sessions I enjoy even more celebrating the excitement and anticipation of a new babe’s arrival with sweet friends. It really is true what your parents and little old ladies in the grocery store tell you about time flying and soaking up every minute….because before know it those babes are little persons with big personalities, who like to rummage in your cabinets and discover electrical outlets you didn’t realize you had!
Chelsea and Heath, you both are amazing parents and I adore baby Levi so very much!!
