When choosing a wedding location, there are so many things to keep in mind. As a dually-based Annapolis and Charleston wedding photographer, I love hearing the reasons behind my couplesā wedding venue selections. Whether it be hometown charm, the perfect vibes, a lovely destination, or just the ārightā fit, I am so fortunate to photograph the most beautiful Charleston and Annapolis weddings!
Though they met while living in New Orleans, Sara and Damon chose to have their wedding in Annapolis since Sara and her family are from there. They wanted to celebrate with their closest friends and family in a laid-back atmosphere and felt like Saraās hometown would be the perfect spot for this! And their William Paca House wedding featured the laid-back vibes that they wantedā the perfect combination of class, elegance, and excitement.
Damon and Sara have been living in Louisiana for about fourteen years. Their fates aligned, they met and fell in love, with a foundation built off of their shared interests. They love to kick back and relax by cooking, listening to music, and spending time with their friends. They really feel like their group of friends have become a second family, and they made sure to include them in every element of their wedding!
The coupleās vision for their wedding included embracing the natural beauty of the William Paca House and gardens. They wanted to show off the inherently elegant elements of the space and simply enhance it. So they chose a subtle and classic palette of greenery, lavender, and mixed metals to elevate it. They both looked flawless and were surrounded by absolute joy.
One of the most special details of the day was actually the groomās ring! Damonās wedding band is his grandfatherās, which is incredibly special in itself. But it was also engraved with his grandparentsā initials, so that makes it even more of an heirloom!
I had such a wonderful time with Sara and Damon and loved how their wedding came together! Congratulations, you two!
