Five Best Wedding Blogs for Brides

With the proliferation of wedding inspiration and wedding information out there on the internet, it’s no wonder that many brides feel a bit overwhelmed and don’t even know where to begin planning! This availability of information is both a blessing and a curse. It can be so hard to know which resources provide useful information and which are just a waste of time! And if I know anything, I know that a bride’s time is an important commodity and not to be wasted!

As a Charleston wedding photographer, I love the many resources available to brides and to my creative community, but some of my favorites are wedding blogs. There is such a large number of wedding blogs out there, and they all share varied content.

Most wedding publications focus on a specific style, wedding size, ethnic background, region, etc. There are national wedding blogs, international wedding blogs, and local wedding blogs. Some blogs focus on imagery, while others share more educational content.

But most wedding blogs are a great place for brides to start their planning process—to establish their Pinterest boards, find vendors, and get inspired! I love keeping up with wedding blogs to stay on top of trends, see what my wedding industry peers are up to, and stay inspired and motivated. And of course, it’s always an honor to see my own work published on these blogs!

Today, I’m excited to be sharing with you my top five wedding blogs for brides.

Style Me Pretty
This has been a top-ranked wedding blog for a decade, and rightfully so! Style Me Pretty has pages upon pages of beautiful, timeless weddings that are detail-oriented and incredibly elegant. This publication features weddings from across the globe but also highlights local weddings on their regional blogs, so it’s easy to navigate and enjoy. You can find a shoot that I had published earlier this year on Style Me Pretty here.

Martha Stewart Weddings
Another staple in the wedding industry, Martha Stewart Weddings features exclusive, unique weddings. This publication also shares plenty of educational articles, which can help a bride learn the ins and outs of wedding planning quickly.

Junebug Weddings
Junebug is a wedding blog that shows off one-of-a-kind weddings and heartfelt, artistic portraiture. This publication also shares many informational pieces about topics such as wedding trends and unique venues, and Junebug has an extensive vendor directory.

Magnolia Rouge
This wedding blog is a feast for the eyes. Focused on ethereal, romantic, and fine art images, Magnolia Rouge is a go-to source for Pinterest images and overall wedding inspiration. Time and time again, this blog shows how to make simplicity incredibly beautiful.

Southern Weddings
This regional wedding blog is the publication for so many brides in the South. And as a wedding photographer in Charleston, it’s obvious to me why this is the case! Southern Weddings beautifully displays real weddings and inspiration shoots that highlight the styles of the South, and it is a great way for Southern brides to find vendors and ideas for their events, which is the case with this springtime inspiration session I was lucky enough to photograph.

Brides, take an afternoon and browse these sites. I promise you won’t regret it!
