Silverman Anniversary + Family Session

Today I am excited to share with y’all a folly beach family session and joint anniversary session I had the pleasure of photographing with the Silvermans.
Nicole Silverman is originally from Maryland, but relocated with her family to South Carolina a few years ago because they fell in love with Folly and decided to make Charleston the permanent place they called home.
From the time I spent with the Silvermans, you would never know that they hadn’t been in Charleston all of their lives. They were in their natural habitat among the colorful nooks and mural art of downtown Folly: the picnic tables at Chico Feo (a fav taco spot), the sidewalk outside of Rita’s Cafe (the BEST pina colada’s and pulled pork nachos), and the iconic “No Pop Outs” wall art on the side of Mckevlin’s Surf Shop.
No Folly anniversary session is complete without some romantic couple shots standing beneath the Pier and seated along the grassy dunes (and anytime Nicole would look towards the camera she would completely steal the shot with her gorgeous blue eyes!).
As a veteran Folly Beach photographer and Charleston native it’s difficult to put into words what makes this small beach town a place you want to linger. The heart of Folly is not in flashy tourist attractions; but the warmth of families like the Silvermans who call it home, good food that fills your belly, and the scent of saltwater and pluff mud as you cross the bridge from city to the beach-side that lets you know you’ve arrived right where you’re supposed to be.
I hope y’all enjoy viewing the time I had with this lovely family in one of my favorite places!
